So, Belizeans, it's September, and today - the first - was the first National Flag Day. And in honor of that, most municipalities unveiled a Flag monument - including a Flag pole and a Plaque detailing the official description of the Belizean Flag. We have images of ceremonies held at 6:00 this morning in Belmopan and Belize City.
The plaque is approximately four feet high by two and a half feet wide and is designed gives the official description of the flag of Belize. In Belmopan, the co-designer of the original flag at Independence, Inez Sanchez Sr. was on hand for the event.
In Belize City, there was prayers, steel pan music and the flag monument in full splendor.
We leave you with that tonight, and a few more images of the carnival motorcade that just passed dour studios…
ENJOY, AND HAVE A GOOD NIGHT.
