Miracle, Marlon, and Mallory are the names of triplets that were born last week Tuesday at the KHMH. It was a roller coaster pregnancy, but the new mom was beyond proud to show everyone her newest additions.

The media was invited to see the babies:

This morning tears of joy rolled down the face of Virginia Garnett. After a difficult pregnancy, Garnett gave birth not just to one child, but three last week Tuesday at the KHMH in Belize City.

Virginia Garnett
"I feel happy right now. I feel happy. I feel emotional. My tears bringing down are tears of joy and I just want to thank everybody and God. My three babies and I will try m best to do anything for them."

She pushed through the up's and down's of her pregnancy and today proudly sat on her throne with her three miracles.

Sahar Vasquez, reporter
"How was that experience for you carrying these triplets?"

Virginia Garnett, Mother of triplets
"The pain I try fight it and thing. I moved around and I wasn't lazy, but one spell it made me not able to do anything. My mom and my little brother had to do every single thing for me. Even if something fell I needed someone to come and pick it up for me. I could not bend over and sleep well."

These three babies each weigh about 4 pounds and all show signs of good health. The manager of the neonatal unit says that this is actually the first set of triplets at KHMH for this year.

Naolli Williams, Unit Manager of Neonatal ICU
"It the first set of triplets for this year at KHMH and I haven't heard of any in the country so far."

"We weren't a part of the delivery itself but they were born via C- section because it is three babies and the mother didn't have complications after."

"Because they were born a few weeks before the due date and um we had to observe them for a couple days. They fed well and they breast fed and they went home and doing well so far."

The public relations manager for the KHMH realized the necessities this new mom and her family were going to need so he called up some gracious companies and got an outpouring of not just supplies but also support for the family.

Tylon Tillett, Public Relations Manager
"I know when I called everybody I said I know this is going to look a little strange with all these different brands of things here but it is the opportunity to come out of a situation and make sure our kids and us caring for these children as a community."

Aisha Trapp, Marketing Manager San Cas Group
"I think for everyone that donated today when these children look back at us they are going to see what there is still love, there's still unity in our country with all that is happening right now. Um you know they brought us together."

Brodies, Sancas, Price Premier Products, and Grace Kennedy are some of the many companies that came together to assist the family. Now if you want to help, you still cane, because these supplies won't last forever. If you are interested in donating you can contact Garnett at 661 - 6926.
