Murder Trial On Verge Of Collapse After Former Cop Refuses To Cooperate
posted (September 14, 2017)
30 year old Nelson Henry, charged with the 2011 murder of Edward Lord Jr. and on remand for 6 years, went on trial this morning in Justice Adolph Lucas's courtroom.

But, things took an unexpected turn when the main witness, former police special constable 33 year old Catherine Parchue refused to testify. She remained silent when Crown Counsel Janelle Tillett asked her questions.

The only thing she did have to say was that it was not her signature on a statement she allegedly gave the police. Parchue was the diarist at the Mahogany Street Police Sub-station on the day of the murder.

Without her cooperation, Crown Counsel Tillett then asked Justice Lucas to stand down Parchue and grant an adjournment for her to get police corporal Mark Humes, the recorder of the statement to come to court and testify.

The trial was adjourned until Monday, September 18.

Lord was gunned down on Mahogany Street in front of Brick City.
