"All I know he was at some party with some friend at that place Bismark and something happened, they came out of the club they were all getting ready to go home and a gunman came and started shooting in the crowd, that's all I got."

And it's in that early Sunday morning shooting that Gomez's brother Daniel Anderson was struck to the chest. Anderson, his girlfriend and a group of friends were at Bismark Club celebrating Alex Underwood's 28th birthday.

It was a private bash with family and friends but it all went terribly wrong - and the party turned into a wild street brawl. According to Anderson's girlfriend, Angela Underwood, it all started inside the club with what seems like two separate altercations - one between Anderson and another man and then another with her and another female.

"Daniel and somebody had an altercation, a back and forth but they were drinking so they were kinda intoxicated and when this is happening everybody is trying to calm them down and separate them."

"But as you mentioned, a female threw liquor on you and Daniel."

"Yes."

"What happened after that?"

"I got upset yes and my brother was trying to calm me down he told me to relax but I don't know it just really got me upset."

"You got in an altercation with that female who threw the drink on you both right?"

Angela Underwood
"Yes I just told her why you do that because she didn't have anything to do with the previous thing that was happening. Just the back and forth with him and the first person."

"This is in the compound, we no reach outside as yet but I remember we ended up reaching outside. They kind of separated those two, so I don't know what happened after that, all I could remember is the person pulling out the gun and shooting him."

"It is very upsetting because I don't think it should have led to someone pulling out a gun I would have preferred if they just fight. It is even more upset me that it is someone that I know."

And that is what is was, a messy misunderstanding among friends. Underwood says that after the man shot Anderson she hit the gunman and the gunman's girlfriend then attacked her. According to other eyewitnesses, several fights broke out after that on the street - others were injured including birthday boy Alex Underwood. He was shot to both his hands. And a women was stabbed to the arm and back. While those victims are recovering, Anderson took the deadly blow to his chest and there is nothing that can bring him back. Anderson's sisters says he was just getting his life back together.

"Danny, he is very impatient, very impatient. But since he last got out of jail he has been so cool like he will come here and he will laugh and talk to us and always running jokes and he had the most cutest laugh, even if the joke isn't funny, you hear him laugh you will have to laugh with him…he has become such a different young man and I saw he was changing but, I don't know."

In terms of the others who were injured, Crystal Flowers was shot to the cheek, and Stacey Belisle was stabbed to the arm and back.

Regarding Anderson - he has twice gotten off murder charges. In 2007, he was accused of the murder of Dorian Michael and Keira Leslie, and in 2010, he was accused of the murder of Joycelyn Mitchell.

His family stressed that his killing had nothing to do with his rap sheet. Anderson has 4 children.
