Regulating the Pharma Industry
posted (October 3, 2017)
The Ministry of Health is stepping up regulations for pharmacies and pharmaceutical importers. They note that there are only 23 duly licensed pharmaceutical importers and wholesalers, and 37 licensed retail pharmacies. That's in contrast to the 50 wholesalers and 120 retail pharmacies countrywide - meaning that 13 importers and at least 80 pharmacies are not properly licensed.

And the Ministry says that if they don't have a license, you cannot be sure that they meet the necessary, government-prescribed requirements and standards.

The list of all suppliers and retailers that hold a license will be published on the Ministry of Health website on November 1st, so the Ministry is inviting all those pharma-companies that have not applied for a license to do so as soon as possible.
