And, another Chinese store has been targeted in Orange Walk, this time in Trial Farm Village. Around 7:00 last night two men robbed Tan Store in Trial Farm of cash and cell phones.
The owner of the store, fifty five year old Ziguan Tan shared surveillance video with CTV-3 which shows the terrifying ordeal his family and employees endured.
Two Hispanic men rode up to the store and walked in at exactly 7:03 pm. Tan was seated at the entrance to the store and one pulled out a hand gun and chased him to the back of the store. Meanwhile, the other robber - with a mask over his face and a white hoodie - pulls the male employee to the back of the counter with Tan's wife and daughter.
He then proceeds to take the money from the cash register and snatch an IPhone on the counter. He then dumps the cash and phone into a large bag.
At the same time the armed assailant drags Tan to the front of the store at gunpoint.
The robber then searched and stole his licensed 9 millimeter pistol before running off.
It all took less than two minutes and the men can be seen dashing off at exactly 7:04.
The robbers made off with approximately one thousand five hundred dollars in cash, the pistol and three cell phones.
Reports are that one of the robbers was apprehended shortly after with the help of the IPhone tracking device. The second robber who is believed to have the cash is yet to be apprehended.
