Tonight, relations are very bad between the police and that area of St. Martin's in Belize City which is controlled by the PIV gang. First of all, Kenneth "Big Tom" Flowers - who is considered one of the key figures in PIV - says police have told his crew that they will kill him - in a sort of state sponsored execution. And, this is because it is suggested that he is driving the violence that has riddled that community with multiple murders in the past few weeks. And if you don't know who Big Tom is, then put it like this - remember last night when Karen Alemndarez was talking about the Big Fish who allegedly orchestrated the murders of her two sons in 11 days? Well, the so called "Big Fish" is supposedly Big Tom. Today he came to the media because the heat and the heap of accusations on him are too many - and he says they are all false. We asked him why he thinks the police want to kill him:...

"We've heard on Facebook that you feel that you are being targeted for state sponsor execution by elements in the special assignment team?"
Kenneth "Big Tom" Flowers, Says He's Being Falsely Blamed
"Well that is what I heard. I don't know exactly what is the problem, but at the same time they are blaming me for things that I don't know about."

"Okay, we will be straight. Misses Karen Almendarez is accusing you of being responsible for the deaths of her two sons."
Kenneth "Big Tom" Flowers
"Well I don't have anything to do with that. It's just accuse they are accusing me. I already spoke to the same young man that got killed and I spoke to his brother who work at the mail place and I explained to them and then I don't know what is the situation between that when he got killed, but I am the one who gets blamed for the murders. I don't know why I would get blame for something that I wasn't around."

"But maybe you're not around, but maybe persons you know or maybe you said something to someone 'you know that li bwai gat something fi me' - something like that. Are you in any way involved in the murder of the two Almendarez brothers?"
Kenneth "Big Tom" Flowers
"No, I'm not involved with any of them. They don't have anything for me. The brother who got killed before, every day I would go and pick up the brother. Anytime he wants to go somewhere, anywhere, it is me who go and pick him up. So at the end of the day they are supposed to be my family. So I don't know how I will be the one who will kill their son. And then they come and accuse me of the same thing. Now they say it's the GSU who pass and say 'the big man says you fi dead next.' So what kind of thing the police is upholding? They want somebody to take the fall for their thing that they are doing. I don't intend to take the fall, because if I am to die, I want to die to make a change. I don't want to die because they want to kill me just like that and then Belize remains the same way."

"Now, do you fear for your life at this time?"
Kenneth "Big Tom" Flowers
"Well, wouldn't I fear for my life, because then you have the police coming every day and I am getting threats every day and then I already see what they have done to my friends consistently, the police just go and kill you and nothing comes out of it."
"People who are in the police are not supposed to be in the police, because they act like criminal more than criminals. So now I am getting the blame for certain things and then the government looks like they are just falling back and allow it. When the government need us at the end of the day, because it is us they come to for their votes. So now how will we be accused when we are the same people who comes and bring out 500-600 persons for them."
"For the Almendarez family, I don't have anything to do with your son murder. We are supposed to be family. So how would I have your sons killed? So at the end of the day I think police are just going after their own hearsay."
Jules Vasquez, reporter
"These two young men Almendarez weren't killed for nothing and they didn't get robbed. That was a straight up hit of the two of them. Might you know, since they say it's you, you says it's not you, why then were they executed."
Kenneth "Big Tom" Flowers
"I don't know. I can't tell you that somebody got executed, because I am not involved in it. Everybody has problem out here, just like me. People would say all kinds of negative things about me. People would say oh this one wants to kill me, that one wants to kill me. I don't know if they had their own problem and their own issues. You see what I'm saying. At the end of the day, they got killed because they say me and his brother had a "talking" and then the other one who got killed said that I was involved in his brother's killing. Now he is dead, so who you think they will come for?"
"My life is getting threats every day from different people, from different this. I am supposed to die on the 26th October. That is what is out there. So I don't know what day is today."
