Last week Friday we told you about a big clean up on the Western Highway called "A Walk For A Green Belize". Tonight we know how much trash they collected.
An estimated 925 bags of garbage were collected weighing in at 10,800 pounds. All parties involved are extremely satisfied with the result and thankful for the 650 volunteers that took time out of their Saturday to clean up Belize. Prize money of $200 was also awarded. The Belmopan Police Cadets won for having the largest number of volunteers and St. Agnes Anglican School won for the largest amount of garbage collected.
