And now back to the shooting we told you about last night on New Road. It happened around 6:30 when 60 year old Judith Rocke and three of her grandchildren were watching the news in their living room. They heard gunshots - which were tearing into the house from a shooter who stood on New Road. Rocke and her 7 year old granddaughter was shot. Rocke only received a gunshot to her forearm, while 7 year old Mali Herrera was shot in her back. Rock was treated and released from the hospital and she told us more:

"About 6 of us was in the parlor area watching television and about a minute or two after that we just hear gunshot started to fire."

"Where was your grand-daughter?"
Judith Rocke
"She was in the chair. The three of them were in the chair in the parlor area. And when the shots started to fire, my son told them to go into their uncle's room. And I believe that it was when she got up was to go to her uncle's room, that's when the shot caught her."

"Now how does that make you feel? You are in the privacy of your own home, minding your own business, and you're shot!"
Judith Rocke
"It hurts, it hurts a lot, especially when I know that my 7-year-old grand-daughter was involved. It hurts a lot because she is an innocent angel, innocent, innocent, innocent angel."
Jules Vasquez
"Do you think someone was deliberately shooting at your house?"
Judith Rocke
"I should think so, I should think so. I am of that belief that someone intentionally meant to shoot my house."
Jules Vasquez
"Your sons have had skirmishes with the law before. Do you think someone was targeting your sons or who were they targeting?"
Judith Rocke
"I am of the belief that it was one of my sons. But, what they do not understand is that my sons do not live here with me. He comes every day, I am his mother, I can't stop him from coming here, but he does not live here."
Jules Vasquez
"If you could say anything to the persons who so senselessly did this - shoot a grandmother and her granddaughter in the privacy of their home- what would you say to them?"
Judith Rocke
"Jules I'm going to pray for that young man. I will pray for him because he himself needs prayers. What I don't like is this: if they have anything with my son, deal with my son. He is the one that puts himself in that situation, deal with him. Why target my family? Now, my 7-year-old granddaughter is lying in the hospital…no, it's senseless. If they have something with my son, deal with my son, I have no objections to that. Deal with him, that's what he chose. I talk, I cry and everything has gone unheard. So, if they want to deal with him, deal with him. Don't go out there hurting innocent people."
And now her son's daughter, 7 year old Mali is in the KHMH listed in a critical but stable condition. Rocke who had a career in nursing spoke about the child's prognosis:..

"Thanks to the doctors, the nurses, they have done all they could have done for my little granddaughter; it's only prayers now, only prayers that can possibly pull her through."

"What's the extent of her injury?"
Judith Rocke
"Well according to what the doctor told me, the bullet entered the back of the spine and to the intestine, causing damage to the intestine. So she had to do a very long surgery."
Jules Vasquez - Reporter
"Now, you are a nurse of many years, what do you think are her chances of 100% recovery?"
Judith Rocke
"I think she will recover fully but it will take time; she will recover."
Mali Herrera remains hospitalized. Police do not have any suspects detained.
