A well known gang affiliated figure Alex Underwood, is in jail tonight, remanded for a single round of ammunition.
28 year old Underwood, who is linked to the Southside Gangsters was arrested along with his younger brother 24 year old Austin Underwood for a single round of 5.54 ammunition. Police claim they found it in his yard in the Yabra area - his people insist police planted it - and that Austin Underwood was not even there at the time.
They were arraigned yesterday on a single charge of kept prohibited ammunition. Both pleaded not guilty but due to the nature of the offenses, they were remanded to prison. They can only apply for Supreme Court bail.
