On Wednesday, we told you about the two SSG figures, brothers, Alex and Austin Underwood who were remanded for possession of a single round of prohibited ammunition. Well, today they both went for Supreme Court bail. 24 year old Austin had no trouble getting his, but it was a little more complicated for Alex Underwood. Still he managed to get bail this afternoon and is now home pending trial.
But, the case is a little more complicated, because the Underwoods claim that police planted that round of 5.56 ammunition in their yard. Their attorney Dickie Bradley explained it to us at court today:

"There appears to have been some kind of video footage of the police officers entering the Underwood's yard shortly after midnight. The search is said to have found a single round of ammunition in a blue plastic stuck somewhere by the fence."
"I mean anybody would be fool to put ammunition in a bright blue plastic bag and keep it in open view. So that in fact that matter there are witnesses that the police had been in the yard earlier the same day and now it has emerge that there is some video footage. So what has caused consternation is that the GSU came to the court this morning and remove one of the females and took her to the police station and it turned out that they were demanding that she gives them the video recording."
"So, I was not aware of this until I came out of court that all this had been going on. So that it would seem that there is some irregularity and impropriety. If there is video footage, it is the private property of whoever has it. Police has no right at all in law to go and remove a citizen from the Supreme Court building or the precincts of the court and illegally detain them and illegally demand that they hand up their private property."
Austin Underwood got bail of five thousand dollars, while Alex got bail of eight thousand dollars.
