Dangriga police have not made any arrests in the murder of 32 year old taxi-man, Jose Alfredo Majil. He was found dead on Friday morning in an orange orchard between miles one and 2 on the southern highway. His body was a few feet from his car, and his throat had been cut.

"Majil was last seen socializing within Dangriga Town on the night of Thursday October 26th, sometime around 10pm. That was the last time he was seen alive."
"Police have since conducted several searches and detained 2 persons pending investigation."
Police have since released those suspects. Our information says he may have recently sold a car and could have been socializing with the cash proceeds of that sale.
