Tonight, there is late breaking news of a likely breakthrough in the fatal accident which happened this weekend on the southern highway. That's the accident in which Mellisa Andrews was killed when a pickup truck hit the motorbike she and her husband Allen Andrews were on.
Well, late news in to 7NEws is that the suspected pickup may have been found in Belmopan. Information says that police found a six wheel truck with damages to the front end. Reports say the truck was covered - as if to conceal it.
The story is developing as we speak and police are looking for the driver at this hour. We'll have more on this tomorrow.
The accident happened between miles 11 and 12 between Sitee River and Silk Grass villages. Best information is that Andrews had stopped to fix something on the bike, when a pickup hit them, and then drove off. Dorothy Murillo was flung to the side of the road and died on the spot, while Allen Andrews is in a stable condition at the Southern Regional Hospital.
