You have seen Joshua Gillett on this newscast before complaining about police mistreatment. But, tonight, police say he is the guilty one. The 20 year old fisherman of was charged with the attempted murder of James Swazo - who was shot on Sunday.
He appeared today before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford where he was charged with dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm. Senior Magistrate Ford explained to him that the court cannot consider bail until after 3 months. With that, he was remanded into custody until December 21. According to the allegation, Gillett went to James Swazo home in the Jane Usher area and shot him twice. Police say it is gang related.
