Remains On Coastal Are That of a Caucasian
posted (November 2, 2017)
On Monday we told you about the remains of a human skeleton found on the Coastal Road on Saturday night. But, since then, there have been no clues as to whose remains they might be. Well, tonight, we know more. Police got some forensic information on the skeleton this morning, and it is not a female - as had been initially speculated. ASP Alejandro Cowo went into more detail:

ASP Alejandro Cowo, OC - CIB
"This morning the pathologist conducted a post-mortem on the remains and the information that we have received so far is that the bones that were examined it was that of a male person ranging between 40-50 years. It is a Caucasian male person and the information is that it appears that it was at the site for 6 months and the person according to the indication of the post-mortem had some kind of injury on his left leg. He was limping so that can give us an idea more or less to try and establish if we have this person that was reported missing sometime in the past."

"We will go back on our records to see who has been reported missing from since then to see if we could try and establish who is this person."

Since police say it is a caucasian male, it is of note that 65 year old businessman Jerry Simmons from Santa Elena in the Cayo District was reported missing towards the end of September and still has not been found. But he has only been missing for 5 weeks, and, as you heard police say these remains have been out there for 6 months.

ASP Cowo also mentioned that the death was non-violent. The police will be looking through reports to see if they can find any missing persons meeting those requirements.
