"I believe that a lot of scare mongering has happened. In terms of the abduction of children and these white van stories - every time we hear them, as a responsible ministry what we do is we check with the police. If children are being abducted most definitely parents would be reporting abduction or that the children are missing and so when you hear stories and 3 days later no reports have been made, you have to believe that these reports are not the truth and so my appeal would be more to the people who are evidently fabricating these stories to not be crying wolf or not behaving like chicken little, because in deed there may be real predators out there who may well be targeting children or decide to target children and we want to make sure that when we sound that alarm that all those who are concern are ready to move knowing that it is a real threat in deed."
