Man Found Dead In Drain, Police Say Seizures Likely, Not Foul Play
posted (November 9, 2017)
And while police haven't made any arrests in that murder, they don't have to look for suspects in the case of a man found dead in Belize City this morning. He is 55 year old Elvis Bandosingh, who was found dead in a drain on Raccoon Street Extension early this morning. Police told us that because of seizures and a history of alcoholic excess, they do not suspect foul play:...

Supt. Alejandro Cowo- CIB, Belize City
"Police visited a location at Raccoon Street extension. The place was in front of Charley's apartment where they observed the lifeless body of a male person lying face down inside of a drain. The information we have so far is that the person was seen last night walking from Maskal Street to Raccoon Street extension. Thereafter his body was found this morning inside of the drain. The male person's name is Elvis Bandusing, he lives here in Belize City but he is originally from Corozal, he was staying at number 2 Zericote Street. The preliminary investigation shows that there is no foul play suspected. We understand that the man was suffering from a kind of seizures and that he was a person that was constantly consuming alcohol. There are no physical injuries on the body. Yes, there is a small cut, but we suspect that it is as a result of him falling and injuring his face."

The drain had six to eight inches of water, but police cannot say if drowning was a factor until a post mortem is conducted.
