Ruby Lucas, Mother of Deceased
"When I got the news that he got into an accident, his cousin came to me and told me that he got into an accident. So, his dad and I went to the hospital, because he was already at the hospital and there was where I saw him. When I was at the hospital I ask the police who did it, he said that he couldn't tell me, because they didn't get the person yet, but afterwards I got to understand that it was him (Donald Enriquez) and he fled the scene. That was a big shock to me, because I wasn't looking out for something like that, because I was waiting for him since he told me that he was on his way coming."

"Do you know what kind of injuries he suffered? Where on his body?"

"His skull was crack. His jaw was broken and his hip was broken. So I don't know how he could have survive that, because even the doctor said even if he had survived he would have been like a cabbage."

"Now ma'am, this person who hit your son, if you had an opportunity to face this gentleman, would you be angry at this person?"

"Definitely. He came here and he wanted to meet me that day after the accident. So I told him it is best that he didn't come, because I didn't know what I would have done to him or what I would have told him, because he is my only son and my son is a humble person. Everyone who came to sympathized with me 'your son is a nice person.' When he is at work, his coworkers says that he is a nice person - to have died that kind of way. I know he has to die, yes, but not that kind of way."

"That conversation with the gentleman, did it progressed anymore beyond his saying he would have wanted to come talk to you?"

"Yes we talk and thing and he says he was sorry and thing and his sister told me to forgive him. How in the world they expect me to forgive her brother, after he killed my son."

Hubert Lucas is Ruby Lucas' only son.
