Police haven't yet charged the main suspect in the Armenia murder case.  He is a Guatemalan man resident in the village, but there are no charges against him yet because the arresting officer is waiting on a directive from the DPP .

As we told you, 28 year old  Carlos Albeño left his mother's Armenia house on Friday morning but his body was found on the side of the Hummingbird Highway on Monday evening. He had been shot and killed. Information is that Albeño was killed as a result of a deal gone wrong with an associate. 

They had gotten their hands on a looted Mayan artifact from a ruin.  Albeño allegedly sold it on the black market and didn’t share up the monies from the sale with his buddies. A dispute over those proceeds is believed to have led to the murder.
