posted (November 27, 2017)
Last week on the news we told you about the contraband hotspot in Corozal, called "Estero". That's where customs caught a man with 20 pounds of weed. Well, on Saturday, they caught three men with six more pounds of what is believed to be Mexican Marijuana.

At 7:00 in the night Police searched a vehicle with three men inside: 37 year old Abner Cardenas from Corozal, 21 year old Ian Mossiah, and 25 year old Vincent Aldana, both from Calcutta.

The cops found 3.7 kilos, or about 8 points of weed in a knapsack. Police told us more today:

ASP Alejandro Cowo
"Corozal Police conducted a search on a vehicle while on routine patrol where three male persons were found. Also, the search conducted on the vehicle lead to the discovery of 3,628 grams of cannabis. They are presently at the station and will be charged sometime today so they will be appearing at the magistrate's court later this evening."

All three were taken to court and arraigned on Drug Trafficking charges. But Mossiah took the rap for all three: he pleaded guilty and he was fine $10,000.00, and was made to pay $300 immediately & $300 every month until full amount is paid. With that, the charges against his two friends were dropped.
