posted (November 29, 2017)
Tonight, Belmopan police are investigating a shocking murder by decapitation which happened in Cayo South. The victim has been identified as 56 year-old Hilton Wayne Wade, a homeless man who living in an unfinished cement house in Cotton Tree Village.

It was an unbelievably violent murder; Wade's head was cut off and left at a bus shed less than a mile away from his current home. The cops later found the rest of his body behind that house.

Our news team has been Cayo trying to get some answers, and Daniel Ortiz has that story:

Daniel Ortiz reporting

This amateur video footage shows the police authorities carting away the decapitated human head of a male. It was found here at this makeshift bus shed located between Cotton Tree and Harmonyville Villages.

The cops say that it was discovered at around 6:10 this morning, by a man who was on his way to work. He reportedly found a plastic bag, looked inside, realized what was, and called the police.

They responded promptly, and we are told that one of the officers recognized the face of the victim. He was later identified as 56 year-old Hilton Wayne Wade, a resident of Cotton Tree Village. So, the cops immediately went to his last known address, this unfinished cement bungalow house, which is located about a quarter mile away from where his head was found.

The officers found the house on fire, and about 20 yards behind it, they found the rest of Wade's body. He had suffered a very violent death; apart from the decapitation, his killer or killers reportedly stabbed him multiple times all over the body.

After processing the scene, police removed Wade's body and took it to the Western Regional Hospital, where now awaits a post-mortem.

They're now trying to find out why a reportedly mentally ill man met such a gruesome end.

Sources tell us that Wade has lived at several different locations over the course of several months.

According to our reports, Belmopan police have a person of interest in custody. We note that this is the third decapitation we have reported on in the Cayo South area in 7 years: first there was Raylene Dyer in 2010, then Pastor Lou in 2016, and now, Hilton Wade.
