A 44 year old cab driver will spend the weekend in jail while he awaits sentencing for sexual assault on a teenaged girl who hired his taxi.
It happened in January of this year when a 15 year old girl, testified that she hired Galindo to take her to a guest house in the city where her mother works.
But, on the way there the girl testified that he touched her on the thigh 3 times. The girl said Galindo told her not to say anything otherwise he will have her mother fired. The girl's mother testified that her daughter came to her crying and told her what Galindo did.
Galindo testified and denied he committed the offence. He said the girl concocted the story because she wanted money. But Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford did not believe his version of the event and she found him guilty. He will be sentenced on Monday.
