Since the start of the Senate Hearings, all the news about the immigration department has been about unearthing years and years of shady dealings in fraudulent nationality documents. Well, tonight there is some good news, or let's say lighter news. The US Embassy yesterday donated 6 MIDAS mobile readers to the department. The readers cost about $72,000 Belize. A release states " The mobile readers will be used to capture immigration information at established and informal border entry/exit points."
