It's about to be six weeks since the Police Department's ACT Operation was launched and it continues to roll with weapon seizures.
Yesterday police took two guns off the street in the Lake Independence area. Police say they searched an empty lot on Cannondale Avenue where they found a plastic bag with a 9 millimeter pistol with 4 live rounds in the clip, as well as a.22 pistol.
No one was in the area so the guns were labelled as found property.
In other news coming out of operation ACT, yesterday morning at about 10:40, a search was conducted at #8466 Gordon Street in the Lake I area. Police say they found 5.6 kilos - or 11 pounds of cannabis in a bed room in a bag. 53 years old John Bowen was present and he was charged for "Possession with intent to supply. "
