"Me and him left to go home and I left him there because me and him stayed we have a one land lord place, I live upstairs and he lives downstairs. From there when we left and we reached home, I just left him there and he went to his room and I gone upstairs and I don't know what happened after that."

"Do you think it's a situation where maybe was just a drunken brawl, he had too much to drink, the other person had too much to drink?"

Filberto Choco

"I don't really know because I was already kind of tipsy too and when I went home I was so sad I didn't know if he came back out."

Courtney Weatherburne

"You didn't hear him come out of the house or anything like that?

Filberto Choco

"I didn't hear nothing like that because I went upstairs with my wife and from there I went to sleep and I didn't know if he came out back."

Courtney Weatherburne

"Did he ever tell you if he had problems with anybody or if anybody was out to get him? If they targeted him or anything like that?"

Filberto Choco

"No he didn't tell me anything like that."

Lidia Pop - Assistant Manager

"It was really a tragedy waking up early morning with news like that on a Christmas day was really shocking. Right now he has been greatly missed, it's not the same again the staff is just trying to cope with each other, working together as the day goes by. He was somebody that steps in, anyone that was out here in dining is like good afternoon or good morning; ready to work, really hard working and very friendly person."

His family is from Punta Gorda and He had been working at the restaurant for about 6 months.  Rumfish Y Vino won the award for Restaurant of the Year at the most recent Tourism awards.
