posted (December 27, 2017)

And a bus was at the center of an accident on Christmas night. It happened between miles 24 and 25 on the George Price Highway, and today we found one of the vehicles completely wrecked. That vehicle use to be an Isuzu Rodeo; we found what was left of it at the Hattieville Police Compound.

Police say that at around 7:58 p.m. on Christmas day, they visited an area between miles 24 and 25 on the George Price Highway. On the scene, they found a Shaw bus with its front portion damaged. Nearby, they found the wreckage of the Rodeo in some bushes. They also found the body of Albert Garnett, who died on the scene.

Initial police investigation says that the Shaw bus, which was being driven by 41 year-old Audomario Chan, was heading toward Belize City. Garnett WAS coming in the opposite direction IN the Rodeo and reportedly veered into the bus's path. Somehow, his passenger, 55 year-old Earl Hamilton, survived the accident, and was transported to the KHMH.

27 year-old Lenny Smith, a passenger on the bus, also had to be taken to the KHMH for injuries he suffered in the crash.
