Monterroso, Alleged Hit and Run Driver in Double Fatal

Belmopan Police have charged the alleged hit and run driver who killed two people on Christmas Eve. He is 25 year-old Hector Armando Monterroso, a construction worker of Cotton Tree Village.

As we told you, at around 11:15 on December 24, Oscar Rene Alvarado was traveling on his motorcycle towards Belmopan from Cotton Tree. The 24 year-old had his 33 year-old common-law wife, Linda Carolina Hernandez on the back of the bike. They were hit by a driver who did not stop to render aid. Well, police have investigated and have since charged one man for it. He's now facing 2 counts of manslaughter by negligence, 2 counts of causing death by careless conduct, and 1 count of failing to stop and render aid.
