Another continuing investigation has ended - four weeks after a fatal accident. Unitedville resident Leo Ampie Flores was killed in mid-December when his motorbike collided with a pickup in Camalote village.  

Today, the driver of that pickup, San Ignacio Lab Technician Winston Gordon was charged for that Camalote accident. Gordon was taken before the Belmopan Magistrate’s Court today for causing death by Careless Conduct, Manslaughter by Negligence and Driving without Due care and Attention. Gordon met bail of $6000. He is to report to the San Ignacio Police every Friday and he is not to leave the country without the Court’s permission. The case is adjourned until April 16th.
