Around 10:20, 31 year old Thomas Henry was asleep with his girlfriend, Kimberly Smith and their 3 kids in their Another World home. Smith's brother went to visit her but he was followed by two other un-welcomed visitors to the house. These armed men didn't execute their target - instead, they killed Henry. Courtney Weatherburne has more on this chilling killing.

Kimberly Smith's yells of agony echo through the quiet neighborhood. She stands in a daze staring at her blood stained, bullet riddled home. Her body limp and weak from crying. Her boyfriend, Thomas Henry was shot and killed last night in their wooden shack. The pain, too suffocating to bear.

Smith, Henry and their 3 kids were asleep in their home when her brother, Orlando came looking for her. But two masked gunmen followed closely behind him too.

"I came to see my sister to get the key to go inside and when I came I knocked on the door but she didn't open the door, she opened the window and said come to get the key from the window."

"When I am going to buy the rum for the girls across there then I went to take back the key the same time so when I turn around so with the key in my hand I see the two gunmen come walking in and one of them looked at me and told me don't move because it is you I came for they time deh."

The gunmen fired at Orlando but he darted to the back of the yard just in time. But the attack didn't end there, the gunmen then fired at Smith through the open window. She was shot in the back while Henry was hit to the chest. 3 of their young kids were inside terrified and huddled in a corner.

"When she heard POW POW two time she bawl out that's how I think they knew they were in there in the house deh."

Residents rushed out to help but it was too late for Henry.

"We ran over to the house so when we got there we saw the boy on the ground so we tried to help him but when we picked him up we see that this boy is dead."

And it was a senseless death because just as the gunmen said - Orlando was the target not Henry.

"Why did they come to target you?"

"I don't know, I don't know, I don't have anything for anybody, they just no like how we live."

"I no have no problem with nobody from this village yah, I hardly mess with anybody."

"I know that you happy to be alive but I know you also feel bad that an innocent man dead."

"Yes I feel bad because Thom no trouble nobody, he doesn't even know anybody from here, he is from Belize City he get to know everybody up here through me."

Now Smith and her kids are left broken and empty without him.

"People don't know what they took from me, they took my friend, my baby pa, my husband, my son pa everything from me when they do this right."

"I just want them know, I am being honest, from the bottom of my heart, his life won't go like bird, his life is not going just like how he died because if I have to take this matter in my own hands I will take it."

While Smith's ominous message hovers, so does the grief.

Henry and Smith had a 1 year old son together. Henry also took care of Smith's other 2 kids. They had been together since 2015. Also to note, Henry and Smith were only staying in that house on Smith's property for a month. They were looking to move out soon.
