Tonight San Pedro police are investigating the possibility that William Godoy may not be the shooter in the murder of Alfredo Cowo on San Pedro 9 days ago.
7News is reliably informed that police have re-opened the investigation into that murder and may end up charging someone else. Now, Godoy has already been arraigned for murder and is on remand - against the bitter protestations of friends and family who say he has an airtight alibi for the time span when the murder was committed on Tuesday January 16th.
Island police are re-examining the entire murder investigation in light of new evidence which reportedly points to another shooter. We are told this shooter may also have a connection to someone in law enforcement.
