A Center For Hand In Hand
posted (January 25, 2018)

Hand In Hand Ministries is known for its community initiatives - and the many houses they have handed over to needy persons.

But, they had no home for themselves - a single central location with facilities and services for the community.

Well, after three years of hard work, their building is finally up. Today was the opening ceremony and we spoke to one of the biggest advocates and supporters of the project.

Abel Vargas - Hand In Hand Ministries
"The building isn't completed yet but we have been working on the building for the past three years going on four years. It is actually 40 by 90. It is two level and houses all our programs under one roof which is one of our biggest accomplishments. We wanted to be in one home. What this means to us is yes we are committed, we are here to stay, and we are in it for the long hall. You know a lot of people that we help think oh you guys just come in, help us, and then you leave us. No, we are not. We are here to stay. We are not going to abandon the people that we need to empower. All donations that are right. Most of which if not all came from the Lousiville Kentucky Office people."

The building cost half a million dollars and will continue to expand over time.
