Police Don’t Have Much to Say about “Oh” Sisters Killer
posted (February 1, 2018)

As we told you last night, 20 year old Wilmer Alexander Escobar was charged for the Oh sisters murder in Toledo. Escobar reportedly chopped 17 year-old Josephina and 19 year old Crecencia Oh to death. While police have made this major break in this case, there are still many questions as to what led to this gruesome attack. Today at the weekly briefing, police told us that they can’t get into all the details or motive at this point. Here is more from the press conference.

ACP Joseph Myvett - National CIB
"In respect of the murder of Crescencia and Josephina Oh which had occurred in the Toledo district some 11 days ago. Yesterday police has since arrested and charged Wilmer Alexander Escobar, 20 year old laborer of Bella Vista for two counts of murder."

Reporter
"With respect to the double murder can you say whether or not the suspect confessed to the crime?"

ACP Joseph Myvett
"I would not say that he confessed but there was some cooperation and some items belonging to both deceased have also been recovered."

Reporter
"And these items will be phones, can you confirm?"

ACP Joseph Myvett
"Yes cellphones as well as other personal properties."

Reporter
"Sir what led police to this particular suspect was he someone known in that area?"

ACP Joseph Myvett
"Apparently he has frequented the area but police, intense police investigation and talking to witnesses within the immediate area as well as other information provided to police has led to his capture."

Reporter
"What was the motive for such murder..?"

ACP Joseph Myvett
"We can’t address that here, remember this case is very sensitive and it is not just an ordinary case so those matters can’t be addressed here those have to be addressed at the courts."

Reporter
"Sir are you able to say if he knew those two young ladies, did they know each other, did the family say they knew each other?"

ACP Joseph Myvett
"No, not that we are made aware of."

Sources tell us that police found Escobar in possession of some of the girls’ items.  He allegedly told them that he was drunk and high when he did it.
