Wanted Canadian Arrested In Toronto
posted (February 6, 2018)
Back in May of 2016, San Pedro Town was shaken when the well-known footballer, Melvin Almendarez was shot and killed. The main suspect, Jordan Bacchus, left the country and went back to his home country of Canada. Well, reports out of that country are that Bacchus is now in the custody of Canadian law enforcement.

The San Pedro Sun Newspaper reports that Baccus was taken into custody in Ontario on last week Friday. He was detained by the Greater Sudbury Police along with another woman, during a raid at a residence in Northern Ontario. The cops were reportedly conducting a search for drugs on that home.

The Sudbury Police have commented that he will be processed for a drug related office, and there will be considerations made for his extradition back to Belize to be investigated once again for Almendarez's murder.

Shortly after Almendarez was killed, San Pedro Police charged Bacchus for possession of controlled drugs. He was released on bail, and shortly afterwards, he fled the country.

Police believe that Almendarez was run over by a golf cart after he was shot and killed.
