She was a beauty queen in 2015, but Shamira Neal was involved in an ugly altercation with a police officer a few days ago.
The 24 year old law student who represented Belize at the 2015 Miss United Continents Pageant, was charged with harm and assaulting a police officer when she appeared today before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford.
Neal pled not guilty to the charges. She was released on a bail of $1,000 and her case was adjourned until April 4.
Police constable Criston Moore alleged that on February third, he was escorting a minor to the police station, when Neal - who is the minor's sister - slapped him in the face and assaulted him. Moore's injury was classified as harm.
Neal has made a cross complaint claiming that Constable Moore kicked and slammed her back against a wall and she reacted by slapping him.
