Our next two stories are about a pair of Belizean sister resorts - which have consistently garnered top honours in Trip Advisors' Travelers' Choice Awards.
Now, we always report on these awards - and all the posh resorts that usually only tourists visit. But, this weekend, Courtney Weatherburne and cameraman Codie Norales wanted to try it for themselves. So - with the assistance of the ownership group - they travelled down south to visit the Coco Plum Island Resort and Belizean Dreams Resort.
We start on-shore at Belizean Dreams in Hopkins:...

Matt and Dara spent most of their Friday evening lounging on the breezy beachside in Hopkins. From the looks of things, it may seem that they have known each other for years but really, they just met.

And there is nothing that says "life long bond" better than a shared Belikin beer. But they really owe their new friendship to the lively and open atmosphere at Belizean Dreams Resort.
Michelle and Emilio Zabaneh have been managing Belizean Dreams for about 7 years now, and they've transformed the place:

There are 9 villas likes these that can be split up into 27 rooms depending on guest preference.

"We have 3 units which is called AB and C units and you can do couples in each one of them if you choose to rent the whole villa for a family you can also do that. It also comes with a living room and a kitchenette."
But apart from the fancy villas, restaurant and pool side bar, it's the good ole personalized Belizean hospitality that they say sets them apart:

And that top notch service hasn't gone unnoticed as they ranked in the top 10 on Trip Advisor for Best small hotel, Best service and romance in Belize - a distinction certainly worth celebrating.
