Another City Council Employee Murdered On Eighth Street
posted (February 21, 2018)
A little after 12 this morning there was another fatal shooting on 8th Street, the same street that Luis Dominguez was murdered on three days earlier.

45-year-old Clifton Fitzgibbon and 37-year-old Dorita Wallace was socializing at his residence when a man pulled up and fired shots. Fitzgibbon received three fatal shots to the body while Wallace received one non-fatal shot to the foot.

We spoke to a good friend of Fitzgibbon today that said the 45-year-old was nothing but a hardworking man who was wrongly killed.

Kirk Davis, Friend of the deceased
"He is a very good friend. No gangbanger. He is a hardworking man that takes care of his wife, his family, his children - everyone. He is very kind. He is a good family friend. I don't like how they took his life just like that in the streets."

Jules Vasquez, reporter
"Was he involved in any illicit activity? Anything that would justify being murdered like that?"

Kirk Davis, Friend of the deceased
"He is a hardworking man. He picks up paper, plastic bottles off the streets. He is my friend. I want justice to be served. Anytime I see that man, he is always friendly. They shouldn't chance that man - look for who they are looking for. Stop take people for Harry shirt. Find Harry and don't look for his shirt."

Wallace is in stable condition at the KHMH. Like his slain neighbor Luis Dominguez, Fitzgibbon was also an employee of the City Council. He worked in the Sanitation Department. The police continue to investigate.
