Still Looking For Alaine
posted (February 26, 2018)
Last week Friday, we told you about 35 year-old Alaine Garcia. He's the Belize City resident who went missing from his new home in Hattieville on last Week Tuesday morning.

His common-law wife told us that he walked her out to the road to catch her bus to work. A little later that same morning, he did the same thing for their 3 kids, so that they could get to school.

The problem is that a shooting happened near to the area of their new home, and residents reportedly saw him fleeing for his life. He's been missing for 6 days now, and with every passing day, his family's worry grows.

Today, police commented on the case:

ASP Alejandro Cowo - OC. CIB Belize City
"Thursday the 22nd of February a female, Kelly Neal of a Hattieville address, reported that her common-law husband Alaine Garcia, 31 year old Belizean of that same address, has been missing since that Thursday about 5 am in the morning. He is about 6 feet 5 inches in height, dark complexion, almost a medium build person with a low haircut. We know that he had left and was seen using a long sports pants and a black and white in color sleeveless polo shirt and a black tennis. The last area that he was scene was in the windmill area where he had left walking to his wife to the junction for her to come to Belize City to do her daily routine and that was the last time that he was seen alive. At this moment we are asking for the public's support if they know anything if they can assist us. I know that police has been at that location from since the report was given in the entire area, checking to see if they find anything in regards to the missing person, Mr. Garcia."

His common-law wife told us via texts this evening, that the weekend searches that her family and friends conducted along with police did not yield any results. She told us that she had to return to work today, which is the only reason why she wasn't out searching Hattieville.
