A little after 7pm last night Akeem Requena was shot. The 25 year old had just left his house on Morter's Alley to go and get something from a store right down the street when two men came behind him on a motorcycle and shot him twice at the corner of Gibnut Street and Fullers Alleys.
Requena is back at home recovering now. We spoke to a family friend who told us the 25-year-old is a homely young man.

"My friend just came from work and went home. Then he went to buy at the Chinese shop and after that, we heard gunshots. When we checked he was on the ground. I don't know what happened after that. A police vehicle came. We rushed him to the hospital and now he is alright."

"Where did he get shot?"
Voice of: Friend
"In his back. The bullet grazed his back. The one in his leg as well. Two shots."

"Is he someone that had bad blood with anyone or he was in problems?"
Voice of: Friend
"Nope, no problems. He is an innocent young man. He goes from work to home."
"He doesn't hang out or any of that. He just hangs out with his friends and then he goes straight back to his mom's house."
The police currently have one person of interest whom they are seeking.
