PUP Blasts B-Sag, Whylie
posted (February 27, 2018)
The PUP says that the Belize Special Assignment Group has to be disbanded. This, after 8 of their officers were charged for the murder of Ariel Salazar yesterday.

A release from the party says, quote "Belizeans have now reached a point where they have grown weary and no longer have trust in our law enforcement officers….It is now time that a change in the high command of the Belize Police Department be effected and Commissioner Whylie MUST be relieved of his duties with immediate effect!" End quote.

The statement adds, quote, "The PUP strongly believes that the BSAG is an unnecessary and dangerous operational element of this government and should, therefore, be disbanded forthwith…the PUP will do so as soon as it becomes the next Government." End quote.
