Briceno also used the opportunity to take some heavy shots at Minister Anthony Boots Martinez. As we reported yesterday, his former caretaker, Kirk Lamb is alleging that Martinez used him as a contractor front to fleece the Poverty Alleviation Program. Martinez denies it and insists that Kirk Lamb, who ended up begging lodging from Martinez was formerly a thriving contractor under the programme.

"How can the Ministry of Works or the CEO from the Ministry of Works, the CEO from the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation had a contract with Mr. Lamb when it is very clear that Mr. Lamb is not a contractor. He has no equipment, he was no finances, he has no experience, he has no ability, he has nothing to able that the ministry would then sign these contracts with this gentleman and to what Mr. Lamb pointed out that there are several persons like him who are under this similar situation or scam that they sign, the money transfer into their account, they go to the account, take out the cash and hand it over to one of the cronies and yes we all know where that money ends. The point is it has been allowed for Mr. Lamb to get 195 thousand dollars under the poverty alleviation project to pass over through the housing for the poor to supposedly making these houses. The prime minister needs to take decisive actions and he needs to make decisive actions now. He promised this country he was going to end corruption and here now we have one of his ministers implicated either directly or indirectly in many of these scams that are happening in the ministries that he controls. I think the prime minister needs to fire Boots Martinez from the Cabinet now."
Martinez says he never got any money from Lamb. The PUP says the monies went to Housing For The Poor - an NGO with Martinez's mother as the titular head.
