Masks From Taiwan
posted (April 15, 2020)
The Taiwanese Embassy in Belize is preparing to make a donation to the Ministry of Health of 60,000 "Made in Taiwan" face masks for all the frontline medical personnel who risk their lives to look after sick Belizeans during this COVID-19 pandemic.

The masks, described as high-quality, was shipped from Taipei a week ago, and they had to be sent to Cincinnati and Miami in the United States. They were then routed to Panama City, Guatemala City, and they arrived in Belize yesterday. There was a bit of procedure that needed to be carried out at the Philip Goldson International Airport for the donation to get clearance from customs.

The masks will be handed over to the Ministry of Health this week.
