In our second segment you heard from Mary Beth Wade complaining that
she was now a suspect in her own husband Tanga James' death.
But, that's not her only complaint. She says the large gold rings that
he was wearing when he was shot have been stolen - rings that she had
bought for him. Mary Beth claims they went missing somewhere between
the murder scene and the morgue.
And this evening the woman who just a few days ago looked death
squarely in the face stood confused trying to recover the last gifts
that she exchanged with the man she loved:
Mary-Beth Wade - Former Partner of Joseph Winston James
"The first issue I have with the police department was when me and the
body showed up at the hospital, and they took me out, I didn't want to
leave him. They told Mary-Beth your bleeding a lot we have to take you
out I told them no I don't want to leave him. The moment they moved me
fro beside him and took me inside one of his rings was missing off of
his finger he had three rings, one is missing. I bought over five or
six, six rings I bought but he only had on three that day because he
went to court and when he goes to court he doesn't wear a lot of
jewelry or whatever, you understand. My mom came in there and she said
she got his phone and stuff like that, so I asked her, did you get his
jewelry, his earrings, and his rings and stuff like that, because he
didn't have a chain or anything just three rings. So, she said I didn't
get three rings I got two rings. So, how when they took off my jewelry
in the theater room thingy none of my jewelry is missing how is his
jewelry missing off of his dead body, my mom only got two rings the
biggest one is gone, you understand. That is the second mess up with
the police back he got out of the truck too."
Wade hasn't been charged with any offenses in connection to Winston
James's death.
A funeral for Winston "Tanga" James is planned for Saturday, January
2022.
