Brian Requena, he's the man who came to 7News to complain that the elderly man who pulled a gun on him hadn't been charged. It happened three weeks on the hummingbird Highway and indeed the man he accused has not been charged. But tonight, Brian Requena has gone from the accuser to the accused.
Police have been investigating his claim and have concluded that Requena was extorting the 71 year old man. They concluded that he was in fact the aggressor and he is being charged with extortion.
The counter claim has been that Requena asked for 15,000 thousand dollars to drop the charge. Requena told us he didn't ask for anything and that relatives of the accused offered him $1,500 dollars which he rejected.
